2023 Vets Town Hall recap & press coverage
Six Vets Town Halls took place throughout the year – twice as many as in 2022 – including first events in South Burlington (in the spring), Bradford, Brattleboro, and South Royalton; our fifth year in Rutland, and our sixth year in Colchester/Burlington.

2023’s Vets Town Halls were the result of an even broader group of community partners than in previous years, including:
- Our event hosts: Jon Turner in Colchester, Kyle Aines in Rutland, Nic Thornbro in South Burlington, Marty McMahon in Bradford, Tristram Johnson in Brattleboro, and Don Hayes in South Royalton
- St. Michael’s College Military Community Services and Student Veterans Association in Colchester
- The Godnick Adult Center and Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1 in Rutland
- Attendees of American Legion Post 5 Tuesday Coffee Hour in Brattleboro
- Sean Braunstein and Vermont Law and Graduate School in South Royalton
- South Burlington Public Library
- Vermont Veterans Outreach Program, whose team members attended multiple Vets Town Halls and were available to offer peer support
- Food donors, including Cabot Creamery Cooperative (all events), Krin’s Bakery and Dakin Farm (Colchester), Meals on Wheels (Rutland), and Vermont Law and Graduate School (South Royalton)
- Many individuals and organizations who have helped to get the word out, including Community College of Vermont, as well as Megan Humphrey, who has photographed our Colchester events for many years
- And last but in no ways least, Vermont Humanities and CVMA Chapter 26-2, both of which provided funding that helps keep these events sustainable
