SUMMARY:Family Vets Town Hall (Bristol\, 2025)
DESCRIPTION:Free and open to all \n\n\n\n\nPresented by Vets Town Hall\, the Bristol Social Justice Discussion Group\, Bristol Recreation Department\, and the Lawrence Memorial Library. Jon Turner will emcee. \n\n\n\nAll are invited to attend a Family Vets Town Hall\, on Thursday\, September 25th at 7pm at Holley Hall in Bristol. Immediate family members of veterans are invited to stand before their community and speak for up to ten minutes about their experiences. Everyone is encouraged to attend and listen. The event is free and non-political\, and all perspectives are valued. Snacks will be provided. RSVPs are optional but encouraged. \n\n\n\nRegister Now\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat to Expect\n\n\n\nFor all attendees: All community members are invited to this event. Only immediate family members of veterans will speak\, but all are encouraged to attend and listen. Throughout the event\, you may hear something you agree or disagree with. You may have a question. Or you may want to say encouraging words with the intention to help. However\, we ask that you please refrain from responding. We are simply here to listen and learn. \n\n\n\nFor speakers: Please tell us about your own experiences\, whatever they may be\, rather than speaking broadly about an issue or organization. You’re a member of our community\, and it’s your stories\, reflections\, and insights that we’re anxious to hear. Each speaker will be given up to 10 minutes. Family members of veterans who would like to speak can mark that preference when registering. If you’re considering speaking but prefer not to register\, we encourage you to attend. After pre-registered speakers go\, the emcee will take speakers from the floor\, time permitting. Of course\, family members of veterans (and all community members) are also welcome to simply attend and listen. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGetting There\n\n\n\n\n\nDirections & ParkingHolley Hall is right smack dab in the center of Bristol\, at the one stop light\, where Main Street (Rt 17/Rt 116) goes thru the village and North Street/South Street interescts it.
