SUMMARY:Central Vermont Vets Town Hall (Montpelier\, 2025)
DESCRIPTION:Free and open to all \n\n\n\n\nPresented by Vets Town Hall\, Lt. Governor John Rodgers\, Rep. Jill Krowinski\, Sen. Philip Baruth\, and James Ehlers\, who will emcee. \n\n\n\nAll are invited to a Vets Town Hall in the House Chamber at Vermont’s State House on Sunday\, November 2nd\, 2025\, at 1pm in Montpelier. Veterans are invited to speak about what their service means to them. Non-veterans are encouraged to attend and listen. This event is free\, non-political\, and all perspectives are valued. There will be no debate on American foreign policy. \n\n\n\nRSVPs are optional\, but encouraged. \n\n\n\n\nSee you there! (Pre-registration has ended\, but all are welcome whether or not you’ve RSVPed.)\n\n\n\n\nJoin us for pre-event tours and refreshments! A tour of the State House will begin at noon\, and refreshments will be availablein the State House cafe starting at 12:30pm. We’ll enjoy pizza from Positive Pie\, baked goods from Skinny Pancake\, coffee from Capitol Grounds\, cheddar from Cabot Creamery\, and additional fare from Hunger Mountain Co-op. Only veterans will speak\, but non-veterans are encouraged to attend and listen. Throughout the event\, you may hear something you agree or disagree with. You may have a question. Or you may want to say encouraging words with the intention to help. However\, we ask that you please refrain from responding. We are simply here to listen and learn about what it was like to serve in the wars that this nation has chosen to fight. \n\n\n\nFor speakers: Tell us what your service means to you. Please tell us about your own experiences\, whatever they may be\, rather than speaking broadly about an issue or organization. You’re a member of our community\, and it’s your stories\, reflections\, and insights that we’re anxious to hear. If you’re interested in speaking but aren’t sure what to speak about\, click here for some questions that can serve as starting points. Each veteran will be given up to 10 minutes to speak. Veterans who would like to speak can mark that preference when registering. If you’re considering speaking but prefer not to register\, we encourage you to attend. After pre-registered speakers go\, the host will take speakers from the floor\, time permitting. The goal is for every veteran who would like to speak to have a chance to do so. Of course\, veterans (and all community members) are also welcome to simply attend and listen. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGetting There\n\n\n\n\n\nParking: Attendees can park in any of the lots surrounding the State House (Aiken Avenue\, F lot\, D lot). You can find a parking map here. \n\n\n\nAccessibility: Information about accessible parking and access to the building can be found on this map. \n\n\n\nEntrances: The entrance that we can guarantee will be open is the one circled in yellow in the map below. This entrance (which is accessible) is tucked behind the main building\, between it and the extension to the back. The east and west entrances\, circled in orange\, are also likely to be open; these are on the left and right ends of the main building. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCommunity Partners\n\n\n\n	\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Emcee | Local Organizer \n	\n	James Ehlers	\n \n	\n	\n James Ehlers is a former naval officer and current chief of staff to Lt. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGetting There\n\n\n\n\n\nDirections:From Burlington: Approaching from downtown Burlington on Colchester Avenue\, follow signs for Rte 15 East at Winooski Center. Take Rte 15 East approximately 1 mile to the Saint Michael’s College – South Entrance on left. \n\n\n\nFrom North of Burlington: Take Interstate 89 South to Exit 16. Take right off exit\, follow Route 7 south to junction of Route 15 (center of Winooski) Follow Route 15 East approximately 1 mile to the Saint Michael’s College – South Entrance on left. \n\n\n\nFrom South of  Burlington: Take Interstate 89 North to Exit 15. Bear right off of Exit 15\, Interstate 89 and get into left lane. At the first set of lights\, take a left into the parking lot. \n\n\n\nShortly after you enter Saint Michael’s Campus\, McCarthy Arts Center will be on your right. \n\n\n\nParking: Free parking will be available for the event. There’s a large lot to the west (left) of McCarthy Arts Center\, and additional parking further west along Campus Road\, surrounding the Tarrant and Ross Sports Centers\, as well as elsewhere on campus. You do not need a permit to park on Saint Michael’s campus during this event. Please consider arriving early to give yourself time to find a space: There should be plenty of parking on campus\, but we do overlap a little with the SMC late-morning mass\, so it’s good to allow for some extra time. Please consider parking further away if that’s comfortable for you\, so that spaces closer to the Arts Center will be available for those with mobility concerns. \n\n\n\nAccessibility: The building itself is wheelchair accessible\, and has a ramp at the main entrance. While there are steps between the back of the theatre and the stage\, any veteran in a wheelchair who would like to speak\, please let a volunteer know\, as there is a wheelchair-accessible route to the stage. We expect that headsets will be available in the back of the theatre; please ask a volunteer about these if you might have trouble hearing the speakers. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCommunity Partners\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n In-Kind Donor | Local Partner | Venue Sponsor \n	\n	Saint Michael’s College Student Veterans Association	\n \n	\n	\n The mission of the Saint Michael’s College Student Veterans Association is to empower veterans to make a positive transition from the military on to the Saint Michael’s Campus as well as into the community. \n	\n	\n \n \n \n Read More Saint Michael’s College Student Veterans AssociationContinue\n \n \n \n \n	\n\n\n	\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n In-Kind Donor | Local Partner | Venue Sponsor \n	\n	Saint Michael’s College Military Community Services	\n \n	\n	\n Saint Michael’s College is a liberal arts\, fully residential college located just outside Burlington\, Vermont. SUMMARY:Charlotte Vets Town Hall (2025)
DESCRIPTION:Free and open to all \n\n\n\n\nPresented by the Charlotte Grange \n\n\n\nAll are invited to a Vets Town Hall at the Charlotte Grange on Friday\, November 14th\, 2025\, at 6:30pm. Veterans are invited to speak about what their service means to them. Non-veterans are encouraged to attend and listen. This event is free\, non-political\, and all perspectives are valued. There will be no debate on American foreign policy. \n\n\n\nRSVPs are optional\, but encouraged. Snacks will be available. \n\n\n\n\nRegister Now\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat to Expect\n\n\n\nFor all attendees: All community members are invited to this event. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGetting There\n\n\n\n\n\nParking: Free parking is available onsite. Overflow parking is available at the Catholic Church at 2914 Spear Street. \n\n\n\nAccessibility: The event will take place on the first floor\, and there’s a ramp into the building. The bathroom in this historical building is small\, and does not have grab bars. The venue is in the process of increasing ADA compliance this fall\, and we will update this event listing if changes are made ahead of the event. If you have questions/concerns\, please reach out to vermont@vetstownhall.org. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCommunity Partners\n\n\n\n	\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n In-Kind Donor \n	\n	Cabot Creamery Co-operative	\n \n	\n	\n Cabot Creamery achieved B Corp certification in 2012 and became the world’s first dairy cooperative to do so. This certification demonstrates their commitment to environmental and social impacts for their consumers\, employees and cooperative of dairy farm families.
