Southwestern Vermont Council on Aging

The Southwestern Vermont Council on Aging (SVCOA) is dedicated to empowering Vermonters to age with dignity, independence, and quality of life. Serving Bennington and Rutland counties, SVCOA provides essential programs and supports for older adults, caregivers, and families — including nutrition and wellness services, caregiver education, Meals on Wheels, and opportunities for social connection.

SVCOA also works closely with community partners to reduce barriers to healthy aging, connect individuals with vital resources, and advocate for programs that strengthen independence and well-being. By honoring the experiences and contributions of older adults, SVCOA helps build stronger, more resilient communities throughout Vermont.

The SVCOA Helpline (1-800-642-5119) is a free, confidential resource available to older Vermonters, caregivers, and families. By calling, individuals can connect directly with trained staff who provide guidance, information, and referrals to programs and services that best fit their needs.
